Guana is a Garage/Action rock band from the City of Gothenburg, Sweden. They started out as the Punk-Rock outfit “Guanabana Pineapple” in 2004. But slowly, steadily, the pure heart of Rock’n’Roll grew on them with the inspiration from such bands as Hellacopters, Gluecifer and Danko Jones. The new, brash and energetic Guana has truly matured in 2008. Delivering blistering hooks with bone crushing anthems that sinks its teeth into the jugular of the musically mundane. They have played a string of successful shows on the local arena, and their last gig at the venerable Sticky Fingers gathered a crowd of 400, filling it to the brim with enthusiastic fans. “Role Model” - Their debut album seeks to prove their point about true Rock’n’roll and to be a lighthouse for others, lost in the musical fog we live in.
